TREASURE ISLAND, FL — The Treasure Island & Madeira Beach (TIMB) Chamber of Commerce announces the appointment of Kathleen McDole to its Board of Directors.

McDole is president of Friendly Fisherman, L.L.C. and treasurer of Hubbard Enterprises, and brings a strong background in business and community service to the Board.

She is one of the pioneering families of St. Pete Beach, and her father, Wilson Hubbard, was a fishing captain, a restaurateur, and a president of the former Madeira Beach Chamber of Commerce. One of eight children, McDole grew up along the undeveloped Gulf Beaches, and was imbued with a love of Florida’s natural wonders.

McDole is a member of the Board of the John’s Pass Village Association. She was twice president of the Pinellas Chapter of the Florida Restaurant Association, and served on the Board of the Florida Restaurant and Lodging Association from 1996 to 2012. McDole is a founding member of Keep St. Pete Lit, which promotes literacy in the community, and a founding member, director, and coach of the Miracle League Baseball Team of Pinellas County, which provides sporting opportunities for physically and mentally challenged youth. She is also a charter member of the Kiwanis Club of the Gulf Beaches, which sponsors the Miracle League.

“Having Kathleen on our Board is wise is so many ways,” said TIMB Chamber chairman Gregory Tong. “Her family is steeped in the history of the beaches, and has always supported our community with its business ventures and its time and commitment. Kathleen follows that tradition, and has been an invaluable part of our community for many decades.”

“I am honored to be involved with the Treasure Island and Madeira Beach Chamber,” noted McDole. “My history with St. Pete Beach, and Madeira Beach and John’s Pass in particular, allows me to continue to be a voice for those communities. I look forward to further developing my relationship with the Chamber through my Board participation.”
